This SEF will cover the business issues of transition and is targeted at executives with business unit responsibilities.
Posts remain highly labour-intensive businesses, while the composition of employee demographics and the mix of part-time and full-time employees are evolving. Attracting and retaining managerial talent is a major challenge as posts choose which business areas to focus on and enter a major period of transition.
The IPC Senior Executive Forum on The Postal Industry Workforce of the Future was held at the IPC Head Quarters in Brussels on 29 and 30 January 2013.
During the forum participants:
- Provided and shared views on the workforce of the future
- BCG provided an outside in view, based on a global HR benchmark, and typical transformation economics
- Discussed how the emerging issues could best be researched/built into the next IPC / BCG report, and used as input for the IPC Annual Conference
