The operational data analyst will support the Network Management and Innovation Team business experts by providing enhanced analysis of operational data across multiple systems. Combining technical analysis skills with on-the-job knowledge of business challenges, the analyst will contribute to the support the users through advanced data analysis, to the upgrade and optimization of the different tools by identifying areas of improvement and will ensure the consistency in the development of such tools. The analyst will support the Service Desk in the efficient management of incidents related to the different tools and monitor and manage in particular the IPC Mail Registration Device service.

Job dimensions

  • Validation (consistency and completeness) of Functional Analysis vs BRS in support of the Business Analyst
  • UAT testing of the applications and reporting to project team and business owner
  • Set up Test Plan based on BRS and testing applications in UAT vs Test Plan and BRS
  • Analysis of data vs business rules defined for applications
  • Be proactive to identify and propose improvements, more specifically on business rules and design models applied in conjunction with the operational experts
  • Provide second- and third-line support in close cooperation with the Service Desk
  • Ad hoc data analysis to respond to customer’s/service managers’ inquiries
  • Validation of analyses and reports designed by the analysis and reporting teams
  • Close cooperation with Service Desk and colleagues responsible for the reporting tools and applications concerned on incident handling for relevant applications and services, MRD stock management, provision and replacementClose cooperation with managers and experts in the team on improvement options and innovation opportunities regarding reporting tools and applications
  • Share expertise and provide guidance to colleagues in other team (Service Desk, PPMACS, reporting) to support their analyses
  • Ensure within responsibility of IPC the technical availability of Mail Registration Devices, limit the downtime through daily monitoring of data provision, compliance with agreed MRD support procedures
  • Improve data consistency between different applications and reporting tools on transport, dispatch and consignment related messages as well as postal item related messages
  • Produce test plans based on BRS, validate Functional Analysis and Execute UAT testing for all reporting tools and applications in the Network Management & Innovation area
  • Identify opportunities for innovation of the reporting and analysis tools and applications with Network Management & Innovation



  • University or similar higher education degree and minimum of three years relevant working experience
