How does it work?
The Cross-border E-commerce Shopper Survey 2019 was conducted with a total online sample of 35,737 consumers with approximately 1,000 in each country (depending on population). The target group is frequent cross-border online shoppers, who have made a cross-border online purchase in the last year. The target group is determined by quotas based on the age and gender profiles of the online population per country.
The 2019 Cross-border E-commerce Shopper Survey took place in 41 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the USA.

- Major economies of scale through centralised research commissioned, managed, analysed and reported by IPC based on common methodology and questionnaire translated into the local language by the participating postal operator.
